Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S.
Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Integrated Services Division, Real Property Program Management Office located in one of the following locations: Aliso Viejo, CA Euless, TX Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Overseeing and coordinating construction activities related to a customer's initial space alterations or post-occupancy space alterations.
Preparing site evaluation reports by researching and identifying available properties, conducting site surveys, and assembling and analyzing pertinent property acquisition cost data and evaluating adequacy of property to meet both mission requirements and accessibility/proximity to other operational elements.
Exercising applicable and relevant authorities when lessors fail to perform lease requirements.
Reviewing and participating in contracting actions involving the negotiation, review, and evaluation of offers and award of lease alterations.
Coaching the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures, and assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution.

Term Appointments: To meet agency needs, this position will be filled under a time-limited appointment, not-to-exceed (NTE) 09/30/2029.
This is not a permanent appointment, and does not allow for conversion to a permanent competitive service. You will be separated when the NTE date of this appointment is reached.
Probationary Period: The first year of service of a term employee is a probationary period regardless of the method of appointment.
Prior Federal civilian service is credited toward completion of the required probationary period.
Tenure of term employees: A term employee does not acquire a competitive status on the basis of his term appointment.

Joining Customs & Border Protection (CBP), Enterprise Services (ES), Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM) will allow you to utilize your expertise in leadership and Real Property Program Management, realty and property portfolio management, and overseeing the multimillion-dollar annual lease account and integrates workload and strategic vision throughout the OFAM Enterprise.
This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10). This position is with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), within U.S.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM), Integrated Services (IS) Division.
IS Division brings together a diverse workforce, including Certified Program Managers, acquisition professionals, Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), energy and environmental specialists, real estate professionals, architects, engineers, and technical designers to develop optimal solutions to meet the needs of OFAM and business partners.
The major duties of this position include: Engaging in real estate transactions by receiving, planning, organizing, and accomplishing assignments for various real estate acquisitions of federally-owned or federally-leased real property, CBP-leased space, and free space leases Planning and executing acquisition of real estate in fee for complex real estate acquisition; resolving title issues identified by legal counsel and closing transaction in compliance with all laws and regulations.
Negotiating and executing long term complex leases and renewals for real property acquired by the CBP within assigned region.
Ensuring that real property hard files and automated records are updated and maintained.
Ensuring the agency system of record is updated, rules are followed in accordance with leasing guides for the applicable authority, peer review is conducted and advising management on issues with work product and work processes.
