Full Job Description

As a Supervisory Realty Specialist (Branch Chief - Realty Specialist), you will serves as Branch Chief in the General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service(PBS), Office of Leasing executing various PBS programs and initiatives in the assigned area of responsibility Location of position: GSA-PBS-Office of Leasing (PR) We are currently filling six vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed For each job on your resume, provide: the exact dates you held each job (from month/year to month/year) number of hours per week you worked (if part time).

The GS-14 salary range starts at $127,829 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service.

Specialized experience must demonstrate knowledge and application of Federal, commercial and/or corporate realty laws, regulations, and practices in one or more of the following: performing project management or lead responsibility for the lease acquisition of 10,000 sf of office or special purpose space including lease construction; developing and implementing lease acquisition program policy, guidance, or best business practices; managing, supervising, or leading a federal, commercial, and/or corporate realty function; developing short and long range strategies and plans for optimizing federal lease portfolio and leasing performance; and developing, managing, administering and/or negotiating realty contracts.

6 total positions will be filled, in any of the following locations: Washington, DC Kansas City, MO Fort Worth, TX Lakewood, CO Raleigh, NC Boston, MA New York, NY Philadelphia, PA Atlanta, GA Chicago, IL San Francisco, CA Tacoma, WA Major Duties:

Leads and oversees the execution of lease procurement to support projects in which space needs are provided for through the acquisition of leasehold interests in real property and delivery of space containing tenant improvements designed and constructed in order to meet the requirements of customer agencies.

In conjunction with the Office of Leasing management team, ensures that real estate acquisition activities have adequate controls in place to ensure compliance with applicable statutes, regulations, and directives and prepares written reports of findings for the Division Director, Deputy Assistant Commissioner and/or Assistant Commissioner, as required.

Provides advice and assistance to PBS realty contracting officials on handling unique procurement problems, developing acquisition strategies, innovative solutions, and source selection procedures.

Ensures that the lease acquisition program is executed in conjunction with all business lines within PBS.

Accomplishes this in coordination with employees with expertise in the areas of project management, real estate, facility management, architecture, engineering, financial management, space planning and contracting.

Monitors performance against established measures and makes appropriate recommendations or changes in program area(s) that balance customer needs, financial performance and sound technical judgment in each of the disciplines the realty occupation supervised.
