Base salary range: $46,479 - $60,424
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-7. Graduate study or significant experience.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job is for a lead police officer at a Navy installation in Key West, Florida, where you'll oversee security tasks like checking access points, conducting vehicle searches, and leading junior officers in law enforcement duties.
It involves investigating incidents, documenting events, and ensuring the safety of the base from threats.
A good fit would be someone with prior police or security experience who enjoys supervising teams and handling high-stakes protection work.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing law enforcement (LE), physical security (PS), antiterrorism (AT), and force protection (FP) functions; 2) Conducting preliminary and/or ongoing investigations of incidents; 3) Documenting law enforcement and security events and the issuance of citations; 4) Distributing workload to junior officers in accordance with priority and skill level.
