Full Job Description

You will serve as a Lead Logistics Management Specialist in the Supply Support Branch, Integrated Products Division, Sustainment Department of NAWCTSD ORLANDO.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Demonstrated knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices in all aspects of logistics support related to a training system; 2) Expert knowledge of integrated logistics support (ILS), training system operations and maintenance, and instruction of support requirements, contract modifications, related processes and products, and assessing contractor performance; 3) Assessing training requirements of customers and planning, implementing, and managing supportable approaches and solutions; 4) Experience with Integrated logistics requirements, products, and processes specific to training systems acquisition.

  • You will lead and coordinate the execution of the assigned training systems efforts for the acquisition, procurement, and/or support of customer solutions.
  • You will take the lead in identifying and resolving complex supply support problems and propose solutions to resolve such problems.
  • You will identify and report to the supervisor periodically on team and individual work accomplishments, problems, progress in mastering tasks and work processes, and individual and team training needs to the supervisor.
  • You will conduct detailed research and formulates metrics to capture the effectiveness of Procurement Request (PR) development, Procurement Initiation Documents (PIDs), and Technical Evaluation (Tech Eval) processes in assigned technical areas.
  • You will assure customer requirements are accomplished within programmatic constraints.
  • You will utilize knowledge and experience in achieving the best mix and/or design trade-off among Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements and making design decisions related to the supportability design incorporated in training systems.
