Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Laborer (Temporary 1039).

*This is a temporary appointment not to exceed 1039 hours in a service year.* Your application materials must demonstrate sufficient experience and training to perform the duties of this position without more than normal supervision.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by 02/11/2026. Major Duties:

-Performs a full range of work that assists the Montana Area Office Recreation Group in operating and maintaining campgrounds, day use areas, roadways, parking areas, beaches, and other similar public areas and related infrastructure.

-Executes seasonal landscaping maintenance duties that require the operation of a variety of equipment and tools such as lawn mowers, string trimmers, and utility tractors.

-Carries out routine custodial work to maintain the safety and appearance of grounds, buildings, and recreation sites.

-Performs construction and repair work to facilities and related infrastructure which involves tasks such as painting, minor carpentry, minor plumbing, and concrete finishing.

-Operates and performs maintenance on various gas and diesel-powered motor vehicles used to transport personnel, haul cargo and supplies, and tow equipment.
