Requirements

In this position, you will assist the Forest Maintenance Supervisor with various tasks related to maintenance, forest fire management, and overall operations within the Quehanna Maintenance Division. Your responsibilities will involve performing manual labor, operating basic tools and equipment, and ensuring the upkeep of these resources. Additionally, you will collaborate with other team members to fulfill their duties. There may be occasions when you are required to temporarily support other Maintenance Divisions within the Moshannon State Forest District.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026, until November 2026, at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2027.
  • Work hours are 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Conditions of Employment:

  • This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
