Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: - Prepares briefings, information papers, and business products for leadership on the full range of IT topics - Advises on strategies for problem solving and process improvements, as well as continuous improvement in program areas, responsiveness to customer needs, and improved effectiveness of the IT program - Maintains a continuing awareness of issues and concerns affecting the agency as well as agency strategy and policy and assists in resolving pertinent issues related to the IT mission Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Serves as an IT Support Analyst to the Chief Information Office (CIO), Deputy CIO, and Director, DLA Information Operations, Customer Experience Directorate (J6X).
  • Provides staff guidance on J6X Director and J6XA Division Chief requirements, plans, commitments, and objectives and assists in the coordination, control and oversight of key J6 enterprise-wide work processes.
  • Advises the J6X Director on developing long-term planning, forecasts, objectives, and priorities of the DLA Information Technology Program and initiatives
  • Leads coordination and preparation of the J6 Operating plan and J6 input to the DLA Strategic Plan
  • Assists in the planning and execution of information technology policy within the agency and promotes the enhancements of overall operational effectiveness of IT initiatives.
