Full Job Description

As an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) with OPM, you will administer and maintain enterprise server and cloud environments supporting mission-critical systems.

You will plan and implement operating systems, security controls, automation tools, and disaster recovery solutions while monitoring performance, resolving incidents, and ensuring compliance with federal IT and cybersecurity requirements.

Basic Requirement for the Information Technology Specialist, GS-2210 occupation: You must have Information Technology (IT) related experience demonstrating each of the following competencies:1)Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail;2)Customer Service - Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services;3) Oral Communication - Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately; and4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations .Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

AND Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) which includes all of the following: Leading or independently administering, integrating, and optimizing complex, enterprise IT systems across on-premises and cloud environments Implementing, supporting, and maintaining operating systems, directory services, authentication mechanisms, and system security configurations Interpreting and applying federal IT security requirements and standards to ensure system confidentiality, integrity, availability, and compliance Diagnosing and resolving highly complex, non-routine technical issues involving multiple systems or technologies Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.

One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS13 level.

Serves as an IT Specialist (SYSADMI) collaborating with OCIO stakeholders, performing administration and maintenance for enterprise systems, server architecture, virtual environments, storage, and both on premises and cloud platforms.

Serves as an administrator for enterprise systems, including servers' architecture, virtual environments, storage platforms, on premises and cloud platforms.

Plans, implements, and maintains operating systems, directory services, best security practices, and authentication protocols and methodologies.

Monitors system performance, availability, and resource capacity; implement.

Provides advanced technical support to users and conduct training sessions to ensure efficient use of systems and adherence to security protocols.

Automate repetitive tasks, predict issues, and optimize performance across the software delivery lifecycle by integrating AI into CI/CD, configuration, monitoring, testing, and incident management,
