Job Description

Summary

This job involves supporting and maintaining advanced communication systems on submarines, troubleshooting technical problems, and ensuring everything runs smoothly for critical naval missions.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at GS-09 level or equivalent, focusing on submarine C4I external communication networks and systems
  • Practical knowledge of technical engineering methods, principles, and practices for submarine exterior communications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technical leaders, and managers to plan, execute, monitor, test, and evaluate complex software systems
  • Experience working within DoD and Department of the Navy policies, processes, and procedures, independently or in a team
  • Skills in operating and maintaining specialized systems for combat and essential missions
  • Proficiency in analyzing complex technical issues, providing recommendations, testing, installing, and maintaining unique equipment
  • Ability to manage multiple operating systems, ensure functionality and security, and contribute to risk management plans

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or No-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience operating and sustaining Submarine C4I External Communication Networks and Systems.

Practical knowledge of a wide range of technical engineering methods, principles, requirements, work techniques, and practices pertaining to Submarine Exterior Communications systems.

Demonstrate the ability to communicate with customers, technical leaders, and managers to help plan, execute, monitor, test and evaluate highly complex and technical software systems; working within established DoD and DoN policies, process, and procedures; independently or as part of a team.
