Full Job Description

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Enterprise Architecture & Data Group (EADG).

As a IT SPEC (DATAMGT/ENTARCH), GS-2210-14, you will implement and monitor comprehensive data analytics strategies that support mission critical CMS healthcare programs.

In order to qualify for the GS-14 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: (1) Applying advanced data analysis techniques to Medicare and Medicaid datasets to support program evaluation and decision-making; (2) Leading time-sensitive analytical efforts for program integrity activities to support fraud, waste, and abuse prevention; (3) Analyzing federal healthcare claims data to interpret complex payment methodologies and utilization patterns: AND (4) Advising on complex analytical findings to provide actionable recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.

Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
