Specialized experience is defined as: Provides assistance and guidance on matters pertaining to the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Provides expertise to ensure required certification and accreditation support documentation is properly prepared and submitted.

Analyzes system specifications and trouble reports to determine impact on system functions, feasibility, and interaction/interrelationship with other subsystems Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.

Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher grade in Federal Service.

** The effective date of your SF-50 must reflect that you will meet the 52-week time in grade requirement within 30 days of the announcement closing.

** You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Major Duties:

  • Manages and updates eMASS as part of the RMF program including mitigation of findings and Plans of Action and Milestone (POAM) development.
  • Prepares certification and accreditation packages via the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) automated cybersecurity certification and accreditation system.
  • Provides applicable advice and guidance in implementing IT security policies and procedures in the operation of automated information systems to management and users.
  • Supports the ISSM and System Manager (SM) in implementing RMF.
  • Recommend changes to designated systems functions and/or develop challenges to requirement, priorities, or controversial problems and recommend cost-effective approaches to meet requirements.
