This is a South Carolina Department of Social Services Internal Position. Only current South Carolina Department of Social Services employees are eligible for this position.


Job Duties:

  • The ES Eligibility Team Leader (CNTY) is responsible for the administrative functioning of the Economic Services Program in the county office and directly supervising all eligibility staff tasked with determining eligibility in the SNAP and TANF Programs.

  • Ensures Economic Services Program unit operates in accordance with all state and federal laws, regulations, policies and guidelines and performs monthly case reviews to ensure compliance with program policy.

  • Supervises staff responsible for providing services to Family independence and SNAP clients. May have some supervisory responsibility for CM and E&T staff.

  • Timely performs the required number of case reviews monthly for each worker.

  • Ensures that all client data is correctly entered into the required systems and that all management reports are carefully monitored and utilized to manage the employees.

  • Represents the agency in meetings with service providers, local business and industry leaders and their appropriate community contacts as required. Participate in statewide trainings.

  • Performs related duties as required.

  • Sets, effectively communicates, and manages expectations for service delivery, customer service, and accountability.

  • Direct supervision to include but not limited to conflict management, training new hires, effective communication, regular staff meetings, and employee recognition.

  • Participates in Red Cross training and shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.

  • Ensures that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree and professional experience in Human Services or Social Services programs.
