Job Title: Payroll Fiscal Analyst
Location: Olympia, WA

Salary: $5,137- $6,735 Monthly.

  • Establish new hires, rehires, transfers, separations, and all other miscellaneous actions within HRMS.
  • Analyze retirement and insurance enrollment forms for completion ensuring the appropriate verification documents are included and deadlines are met.
  • Analyze and process shared leave donations and reversions ensuring appropriate approvals are present, rules are followed, the correct budgets are adjusted and leave balance are adjusted.
  • Evaluate and monitor garnishments in HRMS, update tracking workbook, respond to garnishment answers and process A-19 payments for garnishment orders to pay in AFRS
  • Assist in creating and updating payroll processes and procedures


What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant professional experience
OR
Equivalent education/experience (five years total)

AND

  • The ability to take action to learn and grow.
  • The ability to take action to meet the needs of others.


In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following skills and/or abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree, which includes at least 18 quarter or 12 semester hours of accounting, auditing or budgeting and two to three years of relevant professional experience. Professional experience may substitute for education but not usually for the credit hours.
  • A Master’s degree in a financial related field, certification as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, Certified Governmental Financial Manager or Management Accountant will substitute for professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing new hires in HRMS.
  • Demonstrated experience processing shared leave donations and reversions.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating and processing garnishments in HRMS.
