Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves assessing and licensing foster homes to ensure they meet safety and quality standards for children in state care, including conducting home studies, interviews, inspections, and renewals.
It requires working closely with families, providing support and training referrals, and handling investigations or hearings as needed.
A good fit would be someone with experience in child welfare or social services who is detail-oriented, empathetic, and comfortable with fieldwork and travel.

The Opportunity:
As a Licensing Division Social Services Specialist (SSS3), you will complete new foster home licenses, home studies, foster license renewals, foster license amendments due to moves, facility investigations, and Health & Safety visits in licensed foster homes. This position requires the incumbent to align practice with the guiding principles of the racial equity and social justice framework and is responsible for meeting all casework management directives as required by law, policy, and other mandates.Required Qualifications:
