Summary

This job is for an instructor in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) program at a middle school in the Netherlands, where you'll teach leadership and military skills to students while managing classes and supporting their growth.

About the Position: This is a Full Time 0396 JROTC (NCO, Air Force) position for AFNORTH Middle School, located in Brunssum, Netherlands.

Federal employees in Brunssum are currently entitled to receive a 42% Post Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary.

This position is covered by the Federal Education Association bargaining unit. Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens To qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Minimum Education Requirement: Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) - Air Force JROTC NCO Instructors must hold a current Advanced AFJROTC Instructor Certification to teach JROTC from United States Air Force (USAF) headquarters services department.

AND Specialized Experience: Must meet one of the following pathways outlined in 10 USC 2031: Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps: A.

Retired Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer whose qualifications are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment; B.

Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer who are separated with an honorable discharge within the past 5 years with at least 8 years of service and are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment; or C.

Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer who are active participating members of the selected reserve at the time of application, for purposes of section 101(d) of this title, and have not yet reached retirement eligibility and are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment.

**Note**Only Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer applicants are eligible.

Selection for DoDEA Air Force Officer JROTC instructors is at the discretion of the HQ Air Force JROTC Instructor Management Division.
