Job Description

Summary

This job involves teaching and developing training programs on quality assurance and logistics systems for the Defense Logistics Agency, while also acting as an expert to solve complex issues in these areas.

See below for important information regarding this job. To qualify for a Quality Assurance Specialist (Instructor), your resume and supporting documentation must support: A.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes. Conduct entry and mid-level training for a Quality Assurance program. Evaluate the effectiveness of training and explain policy and regulation changes.

Develop and maintain course materials for assigned courses. Resolve complex operating problems associated with the quality assurance/EBS function.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Serves as a Quality Assurance Specialist Instructor for the DLA Supply Chain Logistics (DT), Training Division, Technical-Quality Management Branch (DTTQ).
  • Serves as resource/internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) to DLA in the areas of quality assurance, Enterprise Business System (EBS), and technical functions.
  • Identifies overall needs of the logistics and training division programs for technical functional management training.
  • Ensures the accuracy of technical content and that courses undergo a biennial review by assigned course sponsors/process owners.
  • Confirms that established milestones are met and that all work is performed within established budgets.
  • Prepares required project reports on the status of various activities related to assigned courses/projects.
