Full Job Description
Under limited supervision from the Warden, Chief of Inmate Grievance Branch, and Central Office Inmate Grievance Administrators,
- Performs a wide variety of administrative duties for the Inmate Grievance Branch.
- Investigates grievances by conducting thorough and impartial inquiries of circumstances pertaining to grievances through interviews with inmates and staff.
- Analyzes specific information obtained and prepares recommendations designed to resolve problems at the lowest possible level.
- Reviews and researches SCDC policies, relevant/mandated statues, disciplinary tapes, and any documentation related to grievances.
- Interprets rules, regulations, policies, and procedures as they apply to day-to-day operations and to the grievance procedures, accepts and forwards appeals to the central office, serves inmates with step 1 and step 2 grievance decisions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
