It's a full-time role in a state police office where you'll work regular hours but may need to be available for emergencies or special operations.
A good fit would be someone reliable with a couple of years in IT support who enjoys public service and staying organized with tech details.
Are you a reliable, motivated, and detail-focused professional looking to apply your information technology (IT) skills in a meaningful public service role?
The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) is seeking a dedicated Information Technology Technician to join the Bureau of Communication and Information Services.
In this vital position, you will support the development and maintenance of databases, identify and manage network hardware associated with body-worn cameras, mobile video recorders, interview room recording systems, mobile data terminals, routers, and related technologies, and provide technical support within the Fleet Technology Integration Section.
This is an excellent opportunity to strengthen your technical expertise, expand your skill set, and play a key role in supporting PSP’s mission and core values!

In this position, you will provide technical support and guidance to help desk staff and end users experiencing issues with Body-Worn Cameras (BWC), Mobile Video Recorders (MVR), Interview Room Recorders (IRR), Mobile Data Terminals (MDT), and network-related services.

Responsibilities include responding to inquiries from Troop Communications Specialists (TCS), IT technicians, and other section staff, serving as a liaison between TCS and the division to coordinate equipment requests and support for unique operational needs.
In addition, you will assist with coordinating all aspects of BWC, MVR, MDT, IRR, router, and vehicle-related technology, including scheduling, materials, preparation, and logistics.
You will further support training efforts by delivering instruction on these systems, preparing and maintaining training and equipment documentation, and ensuring materials remain current with system updates and changes.
