Basic Qualifications: In order to meet basic qualifications for GS-2210 positions, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the competencies defined below: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendation Specialized Experience: In addition to demonstrating the basic qualifications listed above, applicants must also demonstrate possession of specialized experience.

You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Applies new information technology security developments to ensure current guidelines are updated accurately Applies project management principles and methods to gain an overview knowledge of future IT enterprise infrastructure Processes engineering concepts to comply with organizational standards Supports implementation of infrastructure to secure and protect the environment Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Major Duties:

As a Information Technology Specialist (InfoSec), at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties: Defines the scope and level of detail for security plans and policies applicable to the security program.

Leads implementation activities for projects Assesses new systems design methodologies to improve software quality.

Resolves integration issues related to the implementation of new systems with the existing infrastructure. Reviews proposed new systems, network, or software designs for potential security risks.
