We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Project Manager to join our Information Technology team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in IT project management, with a strong focus on Agile methodologies.


This IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating agile project teams for our DGO-DTS development team.

This team directly serves our customers through the development, support, and maintenance of the applications used by their internal partner agencies.

Our project management must achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering IT solutions that provide exceptional business value to our customers and stakeholders.

The successful applicant will work through the software development lifecycle identifying business requirements and managing the implementation of those technical requirements to the successful project completion.

They will also document all aspects of the projects throughout the development lifecycle. The chosen candidate should be comfortable working as part of a team and independently.


This position is currently a hybrid of both in-office (2 days a week in office required) and telework days.

The office is located at The Taylorsville State Office Building 4315 S 2700 W, Taylorsville, Utah.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Manage and lead multiple agile projects, ensuring each project meets its goals and objectives on time and within budget.Utilize Jira for all project tracking, management and reporting to the DTS Project Management Office and stakeholdersWork closely with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.Maintain and build project documentation Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.Plan and organize our Program Increment Planning Sessions every quarter.

Coordinate resources, both internal and third-party vendors, for the flawless execution of projects.Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.Coach and mentor team members on Agile practices and principles.Identify and resolve issues and risks that may impact project delivery.Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies.

Qualifications RequirementsProven experience managing IT projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Strong experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

    • Experience with Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).

    • Experience in a leadership role within an Agile transformation initiative.
