The Utah Geospatial Resource Center is currently seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to fulfill a temporary, part-time position on our Data Team.
The incumbent will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects involving GIS database administration, Coordinate Geometry (COGO), technical writing, cartography, and other tasks as assigned.
The incumbent is expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
In addition to assisting with general projects within UGRC, the position will also collaborate with UGRC’s partners, local governments, contractors, and fellow state agencies.
This position is currently a hybrid of both in-office and telework days (two days a week, in office required at the Taylorsville State Office Building (4315 S 2700 W, Taylorsville, UT). The ideal candidate will be someone who can work independently, is detail-oriented, and can juggle a wide variety of projects and complete them in a timely manner. Previous experience with ArcGIS Pro, Github, and Coordinate Geometry (COGO) preferred.
Primary Duties
Complete a wide variety of projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
Basic proficiency with ArcGIS Pro
Knowledge of general GIS tasks, including map creation and basic data analytics
Knowledge of Coordinate Geometry (COGO)
Ability to work independently and with a team
