As an Information Technology Cybersecurity Specialist, you will lead and support media analysis, eDiscovery, forensic support, and FOIA preservation and collection.
You will conduct data queries and extractions while preserving the metadata and integrity of the original data that is required within the agency.

This announcement is issued under the Direct Hire Authority to recruit for positions for which the Department of Homeland Security, U.S.
Citizenship and Immigration Services, has a critical hiring need.
Basic Requirements: All applicants must meet the following basic requirements: (Must be supported in Transcripts from an accredited institution, Resume and/or Applicable Certificate) Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.

GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government (obtained in either the public or private sectors)., which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have experience performing the following duties: Documented experience of basic physical computer components and architectures, with a specific focus on their relevance to digital forensics investigations.
Understanding the specific requirements for handling electronically stored information (ESI) within various legal frameworks, including evidence collection, chain of custody, and admissibility rules.
Establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to exchange information, assist in research and provide recommendations to methods and techniques to evaluate data, digital evidence, a variety of technologies and/or analytical support.
