The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Senior IT Enterprise Architecture Operations Specialist for the 10th AF Commander, providing technical authority on all future enterprise IT programs impacting the AFNET to include operations, management and maintenance of future enterprise IT systems in support of the 10th AF cyberspace mission.

Examples of specialized experience includes: Applying a wide range of IT principles, concepts, methods, policies, designs, testing, and applications for both hardware and software to assess the organization's IT business requirements and convince management toward a specific course of action; performing feasibility studies and cost analysis reviews, developing investment plans, and recommending the best course of action along with suitable alternatives; developing IT policies/plans and assessing the impact of changed policy and emerging technology on the organization's current IT plans and programs; and utilizing systems architecture, integration techniques, and testing methods to conduct feasibility studies.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Extensive knowledge of IT concepts, system, architecture, and programmatic management skills; thorough knowledge of Air Force policies, standards, and procedures pertaining to Information Technology systems.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is required.
Knowledge of 16 AF, AFCYBER, and CYBERCOM operational activities, weapon systems, and command, control, and mission process, systems, and applications.
Knowledge of Air Force network architecture and design principles and concepts, network protocols and network operation and maintenance concepts and methods; knowledge of existing DoD and AF information technology systems and their capabilities; knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices and procedures.
Comprehensive knowledge and skill to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, devise solutions to problems and identify changes and trends; knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices and procedures.
Exceptional skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration and resolution issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of network operations; skill in applying policy and planning concepts and practices; skill in conducting meetings with functional personnel to obtain information about organizational requirements, functions, and work procedures to accurately evaluate user requirements.
Ability to research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies and procedures to a variety of applications and to recommend timely and economical solutions.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.
Ability to gather and analyze a variety of program information and make sound judgments concerning program progress in order to communicate information effectively, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy and diplomacy.
Must be able to organize, prepare and discuss concepts and technical issues in an appropriate manner with senior level staff.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

Provides cyber operational and technical expertise and oversight for future 10th AF cyber requirements.
Analyzes complex cyber operational plans with program and mission activities supporting future requirements.
Serves as Senior Enterprise Information Technology Specialist: As the lead IT Specialist supporting cyberspace operations, the position is charged with providing fluid and robust communications on both short-term critical events and long-term strategic planning, including the development of institutional processes enabling cyberspace mission success.
Provides overall leadership on long range planning matters.
Manages cyber mission force knowledge, information, and situational awareness processes and systems for operational and tactical operating centers and units.
