This position is located in PFPA, Security Services Division, Security Administration Branch. This position serves as the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Security Program Manager for PFPA.
Predominant work involves CUI oversight for the OSD, Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), and PFPA. Other work functions include various security programs.
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-12) requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the positions being filled.
Candidates for this position must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they possess specialized experience in 1) applying Information Security concepts and principles in identifying materials and information to recommend the level of security classification required; 2) using security methods to resolve complex security problems related to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI); 3) developing compliance policies and guidelines for the evaluation of incident management and violation enforcement procedures.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Initiates, develops, ensures implementation of, monitors, and evaluates organizational compliance with broad overall policies and procedures pertaining to OSD, WHS, and the PFPA CUI.
Counsels, advises, and makes recommendations to derivative classifiers and the Activity Security Manager regarding classification of information and technology.
Provides assistance and support to senior Agency officials and the Activity Security Manager in developing and implementing compliance policies and guidelines for the monitoring and evaluation of incident management, self-inspection activities, program assessment, and violation enforcement procedures.
Develops cost estimates and sustainment costs related to the implementation of the CUI Program.
