Requirements

As a Human Services Program Representative 1, you will oversee Adult Protective Services (APS) within a designated region, ensuring that investigations conducted by contractors are thorough and effectively mitigate risks to vulnerable adults. Serving as a vital liaison between contractors and state offices, you will provide technical assistance and manage communications for high-profile cases. Your role is central to the program's governance, as you will lead the drafting of policies and procedures while collaborating with the APS Director to develop and promulgate official regulations. Additionally, you will be instrumental in creating a policy manual and developing training programs for contractors, providers, and mandatory reporters. These educational initiatives, delivered virtually and in person, ensure that all stakeholders across the Commonwealth are aligned with current protocols and resources. Through diligent monitoring and continuous refinement of program standards, you will maintain the integrity and effectiveness of adult protective interventions within your region.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
