In this role, you will work with our staff in the Bureau of Human Services Licensing to conduct inspections and investigations of personal care homes and assisted living residences.

In this position, you will be responsible for conducting inspections for the purpose of enforcing state laws governing the licensing of personal care homes and assisted living residences within the Northeast Region.
The region includes Berks, Bradford, Cameron, Carbon, Clinton, Centre, Columbia, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Pike, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, and Wyoming counties.
Your work will involve interviewing home and residence residents and staff, medical professionals, and law enforcement officials to gather information and reviewing documents generated by the homes and residences, human services and law enforcement agencies, and medical facilities.
You will plan and direct licensing inspections in collaboration with supervisory staff and other licensing representatives.
Some of your duties will also include preparing licensing packets and maintaining a working knowledge of state laws and regulations, policies and procedures, and management directives related to licensing.
Additionally, you will recommend license and enforcement action based on inspection findings and professional judgment.
