The Bureau of Children and Family Services (BCFS) is seeking a driven and hardworking Human Services Program Representative 2 to help guide our team.

In this role, you will work with your fellow staff and directors to monitor the delivery of services by county and private children and youth social service agencies.

Requirements

In this position, you will be responsible for the administrative work assisting the direction of the statewide licensing operations of county children and youth agencies, as well as other public and private agencies serving dependent and delinquent Pennsylvania youth.

Your work will involve assisting in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating statewide licensing operations and monitoring child welfare services.

You will develop and oversee a plan for interconnectivity within and across BCFS Regional Offices.

Further duties will include assisting regional offices in the review of county children and youth agency annual plans and needs based budgets to ensure that they are accurate and reflect federal mandates, departmental goals, objectives, and priorities.

Additionally, you will advise the Bureau Director on matters related to special initiatives.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Human Services Program Representative 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
