Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing enrollment and disenrollment for behavioral health services in Pennsylvania, reviewing cases to ensure people get the right coverage, and working with teams to fix issues and improve processes.

Key Requirements

Requirements

As a Human Services Analyst, you will manage Behavioral Health HealthChoices enrollment and disenrollment processes within the electronic Client Information System (eCIS).

You will receive enrollment transactions from Managed Care Organizations(MCOs) and primary contractors, review recipient cases to determine appropriate enrollment or coverage corrections, and ensure all actions align with DHS policy and contractual requirements.

You will coordinate with County Assistance Offices to resolve eligibility discrepancies and monitor system outputs to identify and address cases requiring action.

You will also resolve enrollment issues, interpret and apply policy updates, and assist with quality improvement initiatives.

This role requires using proven methodologies and evidence-based practices to ensure that adults and children with mental illness or substance use disorders receive high-quality services.

In addition, you will prepare reports and correspondence as well as provide technical assistance to internal staff, Behavioral Health MCOs, and providers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week.

    You will report to the office located at 303 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, PA on Tuesday and Wednesday.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

    The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
