This job involves working as a bridge between different child care offices in Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services, where you'll review rules and policies to improve child care programs and ensure they meet state and federal standards.
You'll create guides, deliver trainings to providers and staff across the state, and join meetings to suggest better ways to support families and early learning.

As a Human Services Analyst, you will work as a liaison between the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL), the Bureau of Certification Services, the Bureau of Early Learning Resource Center Operations, and the Bureau of Early Intervention Services and Family Supports.
You will analyze, interpret, and evaluate state and federal regulations, department policies, and procedures for impact on child care services, including Child Care Works (CCW) and the federal Child Care Development Fund (CCDF).
You will also ensure consistency with applicable federal and department objectives by proposing policy and program improvements, as well as developing and revising program material in manuals, announcements, family and provider letters, brochures, and training guides.
This role requires the ability to provide training to Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC) grantees and providers using a variety of techniques including PowerPoint presentations, webinars, and face-to-face meetings throughout the state.
In addition, you will participate in various stakeholder team meetings, prepare reports, and submit special project summaries.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
