Full Job Description

This position is located in the Washington Headquarters Services, Human Resources Directorate.

The division directly supports the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW), WHS, the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) and other organizations for which operational support is provided by WHS.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Applying performance management principles, concepts, regulations, practices, laws, regulations, precedents, and procedures to perform a wide variety of the most difficult and complex assignments and resolve problems not susceptible to treatment by standard methods.

Developing and evaluating HR policy for an organization.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as a Team Lead within the Workforce Performance Special Employment Division (WPSED) on performance management, honorary and incentive awards and drug program matters pertaining to United States Code Title 5, Title 10, and the Acquisition Demonstration (AcqDemo ).

Serves as an expert advisor on the policies and procedures of the incentive and honorary award programs to serviced components and activities, other DoW components, the Military Departments and other Federal agencies in the area of honorary awards granted by the Secretary of Defense.

Provides technical advice and consultation in the administration of the Drug Free Workplace Program.

Performs the duties of a program and/or project proponent charged with performing assignments involving the program management, implementation, reporting and administration of performance management and awards division programs.

Provides programmatic oversight and management of the Honorary and Incentive Awards Programs, including budget oversight and reconciliation.
