Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-8. Master's degree or 2 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves supporting Marine families and next-of-kin by handling sensitive records related to casualties, DNA identification, and unaccounted-for service members, including coordinating communications, travel arrangements, and benefits assistance.
It requires working in a military human resources context to help with repatriation processes and family outreach programs.
A good fit would be someone with experience in administrative support, empathy for dealing with grieving families, and a background in records management or military affairs.
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MIL) in the MANPOWER & RESERVE AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinating and assisting Marine families and next-of-kin by managing casualty and DNA records, preparing correspondence, and supporting casualty reporting and repatriation processes.
