Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

This vacancy is for a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Labor Relations) position in the Human Resources Division located at the U.S. Census Bureau HQ in Suitland, MD.
The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service.
Experience for this position includes: Advising senior executives on labor management strategies to implement mission-critical initiatives; Represent the agency or serving as a technical representative in mediation before the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service and/or in an interest arbitration or Federal Service Impasses Panel hearing; Representing management in a formal grievance procedure or in an alternative dispute resolution procedure; Negotiating resolution and/or settlement agreements; Representing the agency or serving as a technical representative in third party proceedings; Establishing and/or managing a labor management partnership program; Sustaining a collaborative working relationship with a union; and Leading or managing a team of labor relations specialists.
Education: cannot be substituted at this level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
