Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S.

Customs and Border Protection, Enterprise Services, Office of Human Resources Management, CBP Hiring Center, Frontline Staffing Branch, located in Bloomington, MN or Minneapolis, MN.

Experience GS-06: You qualify for the GS-06 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Providing advice, guidance, and customer support to assist internal and external customers including resolving inquiries and minor complaints using standard responses.

Maintaining files, compiling reports, and assisting in the preparation and tracking of inquiries and reports. Providing a responsive, effective and high level of customer service to customers.

Using a variety of office automation software (MS Office, Salesforce, and SharePoint) to enter data, and complete forms.

Experience GS-07: You qualify for the GS-07 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Reviewing documents, records, or data to determine compliance with standards, regulations, or requirements.

Providing comprehensive advice, guidance, and customer support to internal and external customers, including independently resolving complex inquiries and complaints, and developing tailored responses.

Using a variety of office software programs (MS Suite, Salesforce, and SharePoint) to enter data, complete forms, correct errors or omissions as well as to extract, revise/sort information in HR documents, files, records, and databases.

In this position you will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Staffing/Applicant Care) providing day-to-day support to higher level Human Resources Specialists in recruitment and placement activities for nationwide agency vacancies, answering applicant inquiries, and assisting with reviewing applications.
