DUTIES: As a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) (NGT5805700), GS-0203-7, you will organize, develop, and administer locally authorized military human resources actions for the unit and to provide counseling and assistance to assigned personnel and their dependents.
Forwards additional human resources actions to appropriate host Military Personnel Flight (MPF).
This position may be tasked to perform a variety of administrative and other duties that support the military human resources function. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is sedentary.
Some work may require periods of standing at a counter. Employees frequently carry light items such as employee files or pamphlets. The work does not require any special physical effort.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess at least ONE (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower-level GS-06 position or the equivalent TWELVE (12) months of specialized experience performing or supervising duties such as providing counseling and assistance to assigned personnel and dependents; identifying and analyzing HR issues, problems, and factual data; identifying the scope and nature of problems or issues, and determining the appropriate techniques/action from among many alternatives; accomplishing a variety of military human resources transactions; providing assistance on various accounting and finance issues; reconcilying master HR records against computer files and/or against records that the organization maintains.
