Job Description

Summary

This job involves supporting military human resources by reviewing records, maintaining databases, preparing reports, and resolving pay issues for Marine Corps personnel in New Orleans.

It's an entry-level role focused on ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the Marine Forces Reserve of MARFORRES NOLA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing miliary human resources support functions (i.e.

reviewing information for discrepancies, maintain databases, and preparing reports, briefings, and correspondence).

  • You will make detailed regulatory and procedural review of cases involving a wide variety of facts.
  • You will perform complete review of records and other case documentation to ensure that they are procedurally correct and that the documentation is sufficient.
  • You will adhere to user guides for transaction processing and provide technical report to automation support office on related transaction processing and system software problems.
  • You will ensure each service record contains all required form and makes appropriate disposition of extraneous forms and documents.
  • You will review active and reserve military pay account to resolve pay and allowance problems.
