Requirements

As a Human Resource Assistant 1, you will be responsible for maintaining files; gathering, organizing, and presenting data; formatting and typing reports; photocopying; scanning; answering phones, and assisting callers to support the daily operations of the division.

Work involves monitoring resource accounts, addressing general inquiries, and assisting with a wide range of employee relations functions.

You will also have the opportunity to serve as a second point-of-contact for the agency’s Corporate Card Program, reviewing employee usage and forwarding it to an analyst for investigation if needed.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Managing ServiceNow requests for role management
  • Generating and distributing reports
  • Maintaining spreadsheets to track and purge disciplinary actions from employee files
  • Logging grievances, appeals, employee arrests, and disciplinary actions in the Employee Relations database
  • Submitting temporary clerical pool work assignment requests for client agencies

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of clerical or other comparable experience which involved obtaining, providing, and evaluating information in accordance with established standards; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
