As a Human Resource Assistant 1, you will work in the Field Operations Division assisting the Allegheny CAO and Customer Service Center (CSC) with a variety of tasks that support over 600 employees.
You will monitor performance management and timely evaluations, maintain accurate seniority lists, and process employee transactions including new hires, probations, and reclassifications.
You will also maintain personnel file management, complete pre-employment background checks, and create employee badges.
This role requires excellent communication skills to provide guidance to supervisors and employees who require assistance navigating HR systems.
In addition, you will ensure all positions have current position descriptions, compose correspondence, and attend labor management and other meetings to take and transcribe minutes as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week after successful completion of the probationary period.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Allegheny County. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
