Job Description

Summary

This job involves supporting the Navy's housing program by managing requests for living quarters, inspecting properties for maintenance and cleanliness, and ensuring everything meets required standards.

It also includes overseeing contracts and preparing cost estimates for budgets.

A good fit would be someone with experience in property management or customer service who pays close attention to details and enjoys helping people with housing needs.

Key Requirements

  • One year of general experience at GS-04 level (or equivalent) in maintenance oversight, property management, or service contracts
  • Ability to conduct evaluations, assessments, inspections, and report on contract performance and compliance
  • Skills in reviewing data and preparing short-range cost estimates for financial reports or budgets
  • For GS-05: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience at GS-04 level
  • For GS-06: One year of experience at GS-05 level with the above duties
  • Experience processing requests for permanent and temporary housing
  • Ability to perform joint inspections of housing units for cleanliness, maintenance, and habitability

OR Successful completion of a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.

  • You will plan, organize and perform work required to ensure proper customer service and compliance with appropriate mandates of the Housing Program.
  • You will process requests for permanent and temporary quarters.
  • You will conduct joint tenant-management inspections of quarters to evaluate the cleanliness, maintenance, and habitability of the unit, furnishings, equipment, and facilities.
  • You will identify problems and deficiencies, such as tenant responsibility for damages beyond normal wear and tear.
