About the Position: This position is located in San Antonio, Texas with the Defense Health Agency Network Central team.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Advanced leave accrual may be authorized. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: advising on credentialing and/or privileging requirements; researching requirements of credentialing and/or privileging within a medical environment; and assisting with developing credentialing and/or privileging policies and procedures.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Major Duties:
- Provides definitive guidance as the expert on clinical Staff credentialing, privileging and adverse actions.
- Reviews completed staff actions and studies, expressing conclusions and recommendations that serve as a guide to higher officials.
- Assists in claim reviews and/or action appeals board processes.
- Researches published credentialing standards and methodologies to implement improvements.
- Monitors implementation of Agency policies and procedures.
