About the Position: This position is located in San Antonio, Texas with the Defense Health Agency Network Central team.

Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Advanced leave accrual may be authorized. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with Credentialing and Privileging actions for medical professionals; reviewing and providing directions on Adverse Clinical Actions; and reviewing directives, plans, or policies regarding credentialing and privileging of medical professionals.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Major Duties:

  • Serve as the consulting authority on credentialing, privileging and adverse actions for the DHN.
  • Prepares and review completed staff actions and studies, as required, expressing conclusions and recommendations that serve as a guide to higher officials.
  • Assist in the credentialing and privileging actions.
  • Monitors and prepare reports on the status of provider license, certification and privileging status within the DHN
  • Assist in conducting meetings with representatives of network MTFs for the purpose of coordinating action on projects assigned by higher headquarters, and designs plans to meet target mission goals.
