The Department of Health (DOH), Division of Nursing Care Facilities is seeking a motivated Health Care Nurse Surveyor.

As a Health Care Nurse Surveyor, you will protect public health by conducting surveys of nursing care facilities.
You will inspect nursing homes to evaluate the quality of care and services, investigate abuse complaints, and complete Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) surveys.
You will also determine eligibility for initial licensure, re-licensure, and federal certification.
This role requires effective communication to conduct interviews, report preliminary deficiencies to facility administrators, and to provide family members, residents, patients, and facilities with information about the survey process, policies and regulations.
In addition, you will approve corrective action plans, conduct follow-up visits with facilities, and stay current with knowledge, guidelines, and definitions relating to complex health care regulations.
