The Bureau of Communicable Diseases (Bureau), Division of HIV Health (Division) is looking to fill a Public Health Program Administrator 1 position. This position will support the Division’s mission of providing comprehensive HIV prevention capacity building opportunities in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) High-Impact HIV Prevention and Surveillance Programs for Health Departments.

Requirements

The primary purpose of this position is to develop, coordinate and facilitate capacity building events including trainings, meetings, presentations, conferences, and provider and community engagement.

This position also aids in the development of a provider engagement plan to increase knowledge the Division’s syndemic, whole-person approach to HIV prevention. Additionally, this position develops and maintain policies and procedures to ensure provider engagement activities are complete.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
