Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-6. Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or 1 year graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This entry-level engineering role with the Navy involves supporting the design and management of packaging, storage, and handling for spare parts to meet military standards.
You'll assist senior engineers in solving technical problems, analyzing options, and preparing reports on solutions.

GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a knowledge of general engineering practices, quality assurance methods, principles, techniques and practices.
Examples of specialized experience include the following: 1) Apply general knowledge of engineering that meet industry/military standards; 2) Assist senior engineers with identification and analysis to resolve engineering problems; 3) Use of engineering software programs.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a knowledge of general engineering practices, quality assurance methods, principles, techniques and practices.
Examples of specialized experience include the following: 1) Apply general knowledge of engineering and quality assurance methods that meet industry/military standards; 2) Assist with identifying and analyzing engineering problems and seeking solutions.
3) Reading blueprints, engineering drawing types and applications.
