Job Description

Summary

This job involves supporting naval aircraft programs by analyzing costs, developing schedules, and ensuring projects stay on track from design through maintenance.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a General Business and Industry Specialist in the Cost and Schedule Analysis Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional General Business and Industry Specialist supporting major acquisition and aircraft system programs.

Examples of specialized experience include: (1) Applying expert knowledge of the concepts, principles, and methods of schedule development for air weapon systems and the relationship to acquisition and support strategies; (2) Demonstrating techniques and practices of technical analysis (e.g.

cost estimating and analysis) to accomplish assigned program goals and objectives; (3) Ensuring scheduling principles, processes, methods, and tools are applied to ensure that all schedule products are accurate, timely, and consistent with agency guidelines; (4) Communicating, orally and in writing, contract performance analysis, and schedule analysis/development for air weapons systems/subsystems.

  • You will provide technical support of products and services to program office customers on behalf of the Cost and Schedule Analysis Department.
  • You will apply progressive working knowledge of the concepts, principles, and methods of schedule development for air weapon systems and the relationship to acquisition and support strategies.
  • You will perform technical analysis (e.g., Acquisition Cost Estimating and Analysis) for complex systems in all phases of the life cycle (development, production, and sustainment).
  • You will ensure scheduling principles, processes, methods, and tools are applied to ensure that all schedule products are accurate, timely, and consistent with agency guidelines.
  • You will communicate, orally and in writing, contract performance analysis, and schedule analysis/development requirements and efforts with Team Lead, cognizant Subject Matter Experts and/or Supervisor in support of air weapons systems/subsystems.
  • You will prepare and conduct informal and formal training session for junior members of department and customer.
  • You will accomplish other duties as assigned.
