As a Forest Technician, you will be tasked with surveying and setting the boundaries of timber sales, herbicide areas, and other forest habitat treatments following instructions and directions provided by the forester.
Work also involves examining trees, marking timber, and conducting volume computations.
You will have the opportunity to assist foresters in the collection of field data as well as application of herbicides for forest habitat management and maintenance.
Additional responsibilities include:
The position will be headquartered at the Tioga County Habitat Management Crew headquarters office. The focal management area will be in the counties of Tioga, Potter, Lycoming, and McKean, but work will cover all of the Northcentral Region.
