In this role, you will help protect forest resources and maintain State Forest facilities throughout the Gallitzin Forest District.
Your work will include assisting with the upkeep of roads, trails, bridges, and buildings by cleaning culverts, cutting trees and brush, and performing construction and maintenance tasks using the appropriate tools and equipment.
You will also support the maintenance of state forest boundary lines and signage by installing posts and markers, repainting marked trees, and clearing vegetation.
Additionally, you will assist in forest fire suppression efforts by removing vegetation, patrolling fire lines, and operating portable pumps.
