This job involves leading inmate work crews at a state prison to handle everyday upkeep like mowing lawns, clearing snow, cleaning, and basic repairs to keep the facility running smoothly.
You'll plan tasks, inspect work, teach skills for using equipment, and sometimes jump in to help with skilled trades like plumbing or carpentry.
It's a great fit for someone with hands-on maintenance experience who enjoys supervising teams in a structured environment and doesn't mind working on-site.

As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman, you will oversee inmate work crews as they perform routine assignments such as lawn care, snow removal, janitorial duties, and general maintenance.
You will plan and assign daily inmate schedules, inspect completed work assignments, and provide instruction in the operation and preventative maintenance of machinery and vehicles.
You will also assist other maintenance staff in the performance of semi-skilled and skilled journey work in trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, refrigeration, masonry, steam-fitting, and welding.
This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to ensure adherence to performance standards.
In addition, you will inventory materials and tools used to complete work assignments, submit purchase requests, and exercise technical independence to determine the best methods to complete tasks.
