The Forest District Manager oversees the management and conservation of natural resources in Pennsylvania's Loyalsock Forest District, working with local governments, agencies, and communities to handle tasks like wildfire protection, forest health, recreation, and land acquisition.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per pay period.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Dushore. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Forest Management which included nine (3 credit) courses in forestry with a minimum of three (3 credit) courses in the following areas: dendrology, silviculture/forest ecology, biometrics, or forest management; and four years of professional experience, which includes two years of technical supervisory work, in forest management or in 6directing the activities of a Forest Tree Nursery.
Professional experience must include the application of accepted business methods and practices, coordinating the application of all forest management, and the application of technical forestry principles and practices to the operation of an entire forest property with considerable independence and accountability for the actions taken.
