AND supporting organizational assessments to help identify potential skill gaps, risks, and impacts on operational readiness.; 3.) AND assisting in the preparation of report, findings, and impact statements related to organizational structure.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Major Duties:

  • Serves as the primary liaison to the Command, its Service Components and all associated units with regard to manpower management.
  • Maintains information and decision papers as required on Manpower matters.
  • Prepares manpower plans for each unit or program that outline required administrative, logistical, and operational actions.
  • Provides guidance for the Joint Manpower Program (JMP) to include: Joint Tables of Distributions (JTD) management.
  • Recommends analysis of billet requirements for new roles and position modifications.
  • Coordinates with the Manpower Directorate to ensure requirements are in line with budgeted billets on the number of officers, enlisted, and civilians.
  • Maintains current understanding of equipment-modernization requirements including proposed changes, modifications, and technological advancements.
