Requirements

As a Fiscal Management Specialist 2, you will serve as a key analyst monitoring financial and claims data, interpreting contract compliance for managed care organizations, assessing financial statements for efficiency, and conducting utilization reviews.

You will use data, exercise initiative, make policy-based decisions, and prepare reports, charts, and presentations to highlight non-compliance and operational performance.

You will also analyze quarterly financial reports and monthly claims processing.

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the fiscal integrity and compliance of managed care organizations by making a direct impact upon the efficiency and transparency of financial operations.

In addition, you will maintain annual contract submission periods and recommend electronic reporting enhancements.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
